The Solution Architect will serve as a regional solution architect for technology projects across the Americas Region Ports and Terminals (P&T) portfolio with a priority on implementing DP World’s Zodiac Cargoes terminal operating system (TOS) along with applications integrating with the TOS.

Key Accountabilities
- Lead workshops to understand and evaluate As-Is terminal processes and design To-Be terminal processes
- Provide input and ensure accurate definition of business process flowcharts
- Work with terminal and regional technology teams to examine configurations and integrations in non-Zodiac TOS to assist in determining functional requirements
- Conduct gap analysis to identify differences between software’s product features and current terminal processes
- Develop SME knowledge of DPW internal TOS to provide regional technology support to the AMR P&T terminals
- Collaborate with necessary teams to design standardized end-to-end processes to meet business requirements with the goal of reducing variation among sites, where possible
- Write comprehensive business requirements documentation encompassing process flowcharts, system functionality, data requirements and flows, and integration needs in collaboration with BU and global technology teams
- Provide significant contributions in the configuration, testing, training and go-live for P&T implementation projects
- Assess IT change requests to ensure proper format, content and clear requirement definition. Clarify and interpret the requests of business units to understand the core needs
- Assist technical teams responsible for product development to translate business requirements into configurable functionality in product solutions
- Assist the Project Manager for assigned technology projects to coordinate and manage project planning and execution
- Work closely with the project team to address issues raised during implementation and communicate project status to senior management. Facilitate involvement from other groups within or outside the region and assist in escalation, where required
- Ensures thorough, high-quality business analysis artifacts, including process and data flows, user stories, and test cases
- Recommend solutions, business logic, and TOS integrations based on knowledge, past experiences, best practices and lessons learned. Assess the potential impact of solution alternatives on business processes
- Contribute to the development of comprehensive project documentation and deliverables which are necessary to facilitate the successful implementation of technology projects for the AMR region
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for project-related matters. Understand clients' business needs and objectives to ensure successful project implementation
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Able to travel up to 40% of the time across the Americas Region to our operations
- Full spoken and written English proficiency; Spanish and Portuguese are a plus
- At least 4 years of experience within port operations, logistics and supply chain industries working at or with multiple locations
- Expertise in Marine Terminal operations and use of TOS to execute work. Experience with Navis N4 TOS is necessary
- Experience working on TOS implementation projects involving integration with external applications
- Experience implementing automated gate systems integrated with TOS is preferred
- Knowledge of EDIFACT and X12 EDI messages used in the marine shipping industry
- Experience in projects across multiple sites and/or with multiple partners
- Strong understanding of, and solid experience with, all major aspects of business system implementation including analysis, process design, documentation, testing, training and deployment
- Experience working with both centralized and remote technology teams
- Experience working with distributed delivery teams, consisting of on and offshore resources
- Experience building and maintaining strong working relationships with business and technology stakeholders
