The Vice President, Freight Forwarding - U.S. and Mexico is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic direction, operational efficiency, and financial performance of Freight forwarding for US & Mexico Market, in alignment with overall Regional plans developing, and executing strategies to build and grow the company, improving our go to market business plans, optimizing processes, driving innovation and ensuring the highest level of services is delivered to internal and external customers, creating a positive workplace culture.

Key Accountabilities
- Develop freight forwarding go to market products, including but not limited to sea freight, airfreight, customs brokerage, road and cross-border, compliance structure, DP network, CFS’s and air consolidation hubs
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operational performance and efficiency, for aggressive increase market share, and maintain a competitive edge
- Manage the business and operations to drive profitability and growth within the assigned territory
- Collaborate on the sales strategy and pipeline reviews with commercial leaders
- Coordinate financial excellence strategy and implement within operations, including but not limited to financial KPIs, forecasting, and budgeting
- Coordinate integration of inorganic growth resulting from M&A
- Ensure the operations are in compliance with all governmental rules and regulations
- Ensure the business is achieving the operational KPIs and financial targets
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective freight forwarding processes and compliance with industry regulations
- Foster a high-performance culture, and provide strong leadership to inspire and motivate the team towards achieving country and regional organizational goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and partners to enhance business partnerships and opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Coordinate execution of regional/global procurement strategy for freight forwarding at country level (end-to-end incl. inland logistics and depot as well as demurrage management)
- Provide guidelines to freight forwarding teams to properly translate regional/global requirements regarding capacity management into country specific tasks and follows performance
- Direct and control activities performed to effectively manage end-to-end capacity for freight within the country (procure capacity, plan, and control network)
- Develop and roll out corrective action plans when targets are not met
- Provide leadership in the areas of product and business development and resource utilization
- Ensure compliance standards in accordance with local/international and corporate/divisional guidelines and monitors adherence
- Liaise with sales to support interaction with key customers and providing pricing and margin guidance, support on bids and RFQs
- Ensure the maintenance of and adherence to health, safety, and security standards in the workplace in line with corporate guidelines
- Ensure 100% control of GP and profit share
- Support country efforts in maintaining healthy relationships with trade bodies and government agencies & authorities
- Create, develop, and maintain good relationships with customers and service providers, while facilitating negotiations of best rates
- Maintain and support interdepartmental relationships
Qualifications, Experience And Skills
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the logistics industry, with a proven track record of success in a senior leadership role
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of logistics operations, compliance requirements and supply chain management
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage complex budgets, analyze financial data, and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
- Proven experience in driving business growth, identifying new market opportunities, and building strategic partnerships
- A visionary mindset, with the ability to anticipate industry trends, adapt to changes, and implement innovative solutions
