Position: Quality Control Manager
Job Location: Dugway Proving Ground
Summary: Reporting directly to the Corporate Quality Control Manager, but with wide latitude for judgement and independent action; direct personnel and resources to perform maintenance activities for the Dugway Proving Ground Quality Program. Perform QA inspections and audits following the ISO 9001:2015 standard under the direction of the Corporate QA Manager, maintain and update the company’s safety program to include State, Local, and Federal requirements. Follow company and department policies and procedures.
Qualifications: 5 years’ experience in Quality Control with 2 years being in a supervisory role utilizing ISO 9001 standards. Demonstrate decision-making ability, negotiation skills and proven leadership competencies. Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills (written, oral, listening, and presentation). Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience.

10 hour OSHA certificate
Operational Security (OPSEC) training certificate from https://securityawareness.usalearning.gov/opsec/incex.htm
Anti-Terrorism (AT) Level 1 training certificate from http://jko.jten.mil/courses/atl1/launch.html
Purpose of Classification: Plan, implement, and coordinate safety programs, requiring application of engineering principles and technology, to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages the overall quality control program operation in accordance with the Contract Performance Work Statement and Company Policies and procedures
- Assists the QA / Safety Manager in establishing and maintaining effective control plans and procedures for resource utilization, scheduling, cost reporting, and control of program tasks
- Ensures that contract requirements are met on time
- Maintains the inspection records and documentation associated with the QA Program
- Develops and implements the QA Program
- Provides for the prevention of quality discrepancies and ensure timely corrective action to preclude deficiencies
- Analyzes trend date to identify problems
- Maintains records involving complaints, dispositions, and related correspondence pertaining to work deficiencies
- Provides function expertise for resolving differences of opinion and conflicting practices
Special Knowledge / Skills Required:
- Familiar with the Department of Defense (DoD) particularly as applicable to Base Operation Support Services (BOSS)
- Must work with minimal supervision and guidance
- Must be familiar with ISO 9001:2015 Standard
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must possess a valid State Driver’s License and the capability to obtain and retain a security clearance as determined by the customer
- Ability to travel to remote locations, use good judgement and common sense when performing job functions and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to be punctual and possess patience to work under stressful conditions
- Ability to identify areas requiring immediate attention and the use of practical skills to solve problems
- Mut be available to work variable shifts including weekends
