Job Overview:
A Home Appliances Delivery and Installation Technician is responsible for the safe and timely delivery, installation, and setup of household appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves. This role requires technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery:
- Safely load, transport, and unload appliances to and from customer locations.
- Verify the condition of appliances before and after delivery.
- Ensure timely delivery according to the schedule.
- Installation:
- Install and set up various home appliances following manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
- Connect appliances to existing electrical, plumbing, and gas lines.
- Test appliances to ensure proper functioning.
- Provide basic instructions to customers on appliance usage and maintenance.
- Customer Service:
- Communicate effectively with customers to coordinate delivery times.
- Address customer questions and concerns during the delivery and installation process.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction with the delivery and installation experience.
- Safety and Compliance:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in delivery and/or installation of home appliances is preferred.
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and gas systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent physical condition, able to lift and maneuver heavy appliances.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, depending on the delivery and installation locations.
- May require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- May involve working in tight or confined spaces.
Schedule:
- Full-time, may include weekends and holidays based on customer demand.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding appliance installation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
