What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Bookkeeper position at DPR Investments?
Shift: First Shift
The bookkeeper is responsible for computing, classifying and recording financial transactions to ensure the financial records of the organization are accurate. The bookkeeper will also perform routine financial calculations, general ledger duties and processing accurate and timely payroll for multiple companies. The bookkeeper may also check the accuracy of calculations performed by other employees’ invoice processing. Will perform routine accounting/clerical work.

- Coordinate, retrieve and prepare required financial bank data and other third party provider systems to enable uploading into current accounting software using spreadsheets, journals and ledgers.
- Codes documents according to company procedures.
- Accurately records financial data from other parties in current accounting software using spreadsheets, journals, and ledgers.
- Communicates effectively with Operations and leadership on situations as they arise that do not comply with company policies, as it pertains to cash handling functions.
- Checks figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.
- Reviews, reconciles, notes and reports discrepancies found in records as it pertains to various bank statements and associated general ledger accounts with accuracy for monthly review.
- Compiles statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, POS transactions and merchant services activities.
- Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations.
- Ensures timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles. Develops systems and protocols to direct the collection, calculation and entering of pay data.
- Processes wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary state office or jurisdiction and assisting employees with general process questions.

Experience and Skills:
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Four (4) or more years of bookkeeping/accounting clerk experience
- Payroll processing experience is a plus
Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in accounting
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Intermediate working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
