Job Description
- This person will help build our Citrix stack on top of a VMware environment
- Youll have the opportunity to present these solutions to the business and leadership of the organization, so presentation and speaking skills are needed
- Assess environment readiness
- Identify the server performance metrics that determine whether a server is a good virtualization candidate
- Identify options for providing Provisioning Services bootstrap redundancy and available network optimizations for Provisioning Services
- Determine how to configure an Access Gateway implementation for an environment
- Optimize server performance
- Identify problem trends and resolve
- View and interrupt Edgesight reporting information
- Experience developing training tools and documentation; oversees implementation of same
- Citrix Administration
- 3 years of Network Administration and Infrastructure experience
- Minimum 3-5 years experience Citrix XenApp 6.X / 7.X and Citrix XenDesktop 7
- Minimum 3-5 years experience with engineering and administration of remote access gateways covering Citrix, Cisco and Juniper product lines
- Minimum 2 year experience Citrix Access Gateway/Netscaler
- knowledge of relationship of each component of the farm including: network, storage, server, and database
- Experience with DNS and DHCP
- Thorough knowledge of remote access solutions covering IPSec, SSL VPNs and associated data security designs
- Strong Technical knowledge of Windows 2003/2008, Windows XP, Windows 7, SQL Server, Altiris, MS Office 2003/2007/2010, Active Directory
- Working knowledge of application deployment process and functional network troubleshooting
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
- Provide escalated, highly complex technical support to customers by investigating and resolving systems-related matters of significance; provides support telephonically and/or electronically
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers, senior level personnel, subordinates, and team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
- Network Administration: 5 years (Required)
