As Director of Project Services , you have a key role in the successful management of the Northeast Operation, and will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of the project services lifecycle for the Northeast Region operation (Boston, and Philadelphia). Your role will be to provide leadership, guidance and oversight to critical functions including estimating, procurement, project controls, document control, and the project administration functions. Specifically, your responsibilities will include labor management, operational management, cost controls, and proposal managemen t.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Leads and Manages the project services departments for the Northeast Region
- Sets departmental goals and conducts annual performance reviews with a focus on operational improvement and efficiency
- Responsible for project controls (cost, manhours, schedule, and estimating) on all projects.
- Responsible for the oversight of all procurement aspects on projects, including assisting with proposals, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement
- Assists in the development of project execution plans (procurement and buyout approaches/models, cashflow strategies, risk management, etc.)
- Oversees the management of the subcontracting strategy and forms relationships with various regional and national subcontractors and suppliers to support EPC activities for future business
- Manages contractual risk through the review and negotiation of all contract agreements (both up and down stream) and NDAs
- Oversees project commercial management for all project commitments
- Enforce contractual terms and resolve supplier procurement issues as needed due to escalation
- Assists in claim resolution for all out-of-scope services
- Responsible for the preparation of project financial forecasting and analysis of project data as well as the financial accuracy of monthly internal project cost reporting meetings (OS&G)
- Assists in the creation of winning proposals
- Establishes office bill rates and pricing structures
- Provides and maintains the overall operation financial forecasting
- Serves as a senior leader in the region
- Mentors and develops staff
- Supports overall office goals and initiatives
Ideal Candidates will have the following experience:
- Proven track record in a similar role with between 10-15 years’ experience working in a similar industry sector.
- Ideally relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or other qualification relevant to one or more of the disciplines of responsibility
- Excellent management skills in particular managing multi-discipline teams.
- Track record of previously overseeing the delivery and execution of parallel high value projects
- Exceptional problem solving and decision-making capability.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, multitasking, communication, and strong presentation skill.
