Role description:

Arcadis DPS Group is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join our Procurement and Supply Chain team in Chandler, Arizona. In this role, you will work directly with the Global Supply Chain Management team with the primary objective of supporting the field through effective materials management for complex high-tech construction projects for a major microelectronics manufacturing client. Successful candidates will have a background in Procurement & Supply Chain for industrial construction, preferably supporting advanced technology clientele, possess above average proficiency in MS Excel/MS Office Suite, and have strong communication and organizational skills. Primary responsibilities include processing of submittals, tracking buyers, tracking vendors, shop drawings and tracking/expediting material deliveries.
This position is for local candidates, or those willing to relocate to the area, and not a travel position, therefore not offering per diem allowance.

Role accountabilities:
  • Maintain and schedule accurate calendars, meetings, tracking sheets and other tools as directed.
  • Day to day order management, gathering and tracking information regarding schedules, invoices, etc.
  • Contact vendors, verify compliance with lead times, check for ETA changes on a frequent basis for “reasonableness” and notify buyers of potential problems.
  • Update delivery information and follow up with vendors on late shipments and/or deliveries.
  • Work with vendors and GSCM team members to ensure operational risks are escalated, evaluated, and mitigated.
  • Maintain databases and supporting files as directed.
  • Create unique procurement records in systems and databases.
  • Prepare and provide documentation to internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Assist Global Supply Chain Management team on project related tasks.
  • Review the supplier documents or RFQs, present to the Client team providing any recommendations needed before change order is issued.
  • Place and track the change orders in the procurement system.
  • Manage the commodity meetings by reviewing deadlines/milestones/changes with impacted supplier, help needed, hot topics, etc.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers in line with business strategies, monitoring their performance; Review and address supplier escalations and propose mitigation paths.
  • Review available inventory
  • Update database with milestone dates and make all approved changes.
  • Evaluate weekly updates and impact to the onsite need dates and communicate the changes accordingly.
  • Coordinate with Suppliers/Client Cost Engineers and client on exception to deadlines, missed commit dates and help mitigate
  • Accurately input information into Risk and Decision logs and maintain the integrity of the logs.
  • Build strong partnerships and develop relationships with key owners to build a team type atmosphere.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a heightened attention to detail.
  • Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel based templates, Prolog, Primavera, and Autodesk Suite. Strong MS Excel skills are a must!
  • Experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain within the Engineering and Construction industry preferred and highly desired.
  • 3-5 years desired work experience. Past internships directly related to the role will be taken into consideration.
  • Willing to work with a team, and work with customers in a client service focused.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dana
  • Knowledge with Supply Chain Buying of equipment, raw materials, chemicals, tools, manufacturing equipment, construction materials, and/or semiconductor materials.
  • Diploma or Degree level qualification in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, or Business preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required.
