Doctors of Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Billing Insurance Authorization Specialist. We are looking for a reliable and professional member of our team that is looking for longevity with a growing company.
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year experience with medical claims and have good knowledge of coding and medical terminology.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the completion & submission of provider applications with follow-up
- Understand specific application requirements for each payer
- Verify Insurance Benefits with a wide variety of insurance companies
- Communicate on audit findings to appropriate staff members.
Requirements
- High School Graduate; and a minimum of 1 year billing experience, with a good understanding of coding and medical terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Maintain high levels of organization while being focused on details
- Capable of a sense of urgency in all responsibilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Capable of working independently
- Reliability and longevity is a must
