Job Summary:
DPV Transportation is seeking a proactive and skilled Recruiter to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in attracting, assessing, and hiring qualified candidates, with a strong focus on recruiting and onboarding CDL Chauffeurs in the Boston area.
Responsibilities:
- Talent Sourcing:
- Utilize diverse recruitment channels, including online job boards, social media, professional networks, referrals, and job fairs, to source potential chauffeur candidates.
- Candidate Screening:
- Review applications and conduct initial screenings to evaluate candidates’ qualifications, experience, and suitability for the chauffeur position.
- Interviewing:
- Conduct structured interviews to assess candidates' skills, driving experience, customer service abilities, and alignment with company values and culture.
- Driver Qualification:
- Verify candidates’ driving records, licenses, certifications, and conduct background checks to ensure compliance with legal and company-specific requirements.
- Collaboration with Operations:
- Work closely with the operations team to understand hiring needs and preferences based on client demands.
- Onboarding Coordination:
- Collaborate with the training department to ensure new hires are set up for training and onboarding seamlessly.
- Candidate Experience:
- Provide a positive and professional candidate experience by maintaining open communication and offering timely feedback throughout the recruitment process.
- Employment Branding:
- Promote DPV Transportation’s employer brand to attract top talent and establish the company as an industry leader.
- Talent Pipeline Management:
- Maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates to meet future hiring needs promptly.
- Reporting and Metrics:
- Track recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill and candidate progress, and provide regular updates on recruitment efforts.
- Compliance:
- Stay informed about employment laws and regulations, ensuring all hiring processes are fully compliant.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Recruiter, preferably in hiring chauffeurs or drivers; transportation industry experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with candidates and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage multiple recruitment processes efficiently.
- High attention to detail and sound decision-making skills.
- Integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficiency in recruitment software and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Passion for delivering excellent candidate experiences and fostering a positive employer brand.
Compensation:
- $60,000 annually performance-based bonuses.
