Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and results-driven Social Media Manager to join our dynamic team to manage local marketing for the Ellijay Dairy Queen, Jasper Dairy Queen, and Allure Nests Property Management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies that enhance our brand presence, engage our audience, and drive traffic to our e-commerce platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of social media management tools, content creation, and relationship management to foster connections with our community and our staff.
Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies across various platforms to increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Manage daily social media activities including posting content, responding to comments, and engaging with followers.
- Utilize tools such as Hootsuite and Buffer for scheduling posts and monitoring social media performance.
- Conduct social listening to gather insights on audience preferences and trends, adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with upper management to create compelling content that aligns with SEO best practices and our values.
- Capture high-quality photography for use in social media campaigns and promotional materials.
- Analyze performance metrics using Google Analytics and other tools to measure the success of campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with influencers, upper management, customers, and other local businesses to enhance brand loyalty.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices in social media marketing.
- Keep and maintain a digital calendar (Google Calendar and/or ClickUp) of upcoming duties, events, and tasks.
Requirements
- Experience in social media management, preferably within an e-commerce environment or a strong understanding of social media trends (and a willingness to learn)!
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Familiarity in using Hootsuite or similar social media management tools.
- Familiarity in using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Acrobat, Lightroom)
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
- Photography skills are a plus for creating visually appealing content. A smart phone with a high quality camera is necessary.
- Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling through digital channels.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience with Short Term Rentals and Airbnb are a BIG BIG Plus!
