Job Description
Currently, we are looking for individuals with experience as an Orthodontics Assistant! We are only looking for applicants who want a job with growth opportunities, desire to be a part of a positive culture, and love being a part of a team. We need a self-starter with leadership qualities. We are currently hiring for our Orthodontics team that works out of our Valley Practice and our Airway Heights Practice. The ideal candidate should have some orthodontic experience and possess a strong positive attitude with a willingness to get tasks completed. We are a completely digital office and do not take alginate impressions. We print 3D models for retainers and have laser sintered bands for appliances which do not need a seperator appointment. Candidate needs to get along well as part of a team and have a focus on patient-centered care and attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities
Maintaining accurate records of patients’ oral health histories and treatment progress
Ensuring that all orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly sterilized before each use
Keeping patients’ mouths dry during orthodontic procedures by using a suction hose as needed
Taking intraoral X-rays of patients’ mouths
Taking photographs of patients’ teeth to aid the Orthodontist in developing treatment plans and to document patient progress.
Taking dental molds of patients' teeth for the fabrication of customized mouth guards and retainers
Removing and replacing wires, coil springs, donuts, and elastic bands
Educating patients in proper oral hygiene practices and braces aftercare
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assistance program
Registered Dental Assistant in the state of WA
Experience using computers for a variety of tasks
Skills & Abilities
Good written and verbal communication skills
Consistently professional appearance and attitude
Able to provide great patient care
Schedule:
Sunday: OFF
Monday: OFF
Tuesday: 9am - 3pm
Wednesday: 7:00am-8:00pm (Valley Practice)
Thursday: Airway 11:00pm-6:00pm (Airway Heights Practice)
Friday: 9:00am-4:00pm (Valley Practice)
1 Saturday a Month: 8:00am-3:00pm (Valley Practice)
Requirements:
Registered Dental Assistant (Required)
Orthodontics Assisting: 1 year (Required)
Weekends
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
