• Must be Available to Work “full shifts" 5 out of 7 days each week (WEEKDAYS and WEEKENDS) based on our business needs

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent "plus" a minimum of two years of continuous supervisory or management experience, in a medical optical setting preferred.

Essential Duties
- Supervise optometric technicians.
- Prepare and manage schedules to ensure adequate but not over coverage.
- Efficiently manage daily operations and oversee technicians complete their duties as expected by Dr. Nez and Associates, Inc.
- Manage patient records and confidential information, maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Maintain work facilities, inventory, and equipment.
- Provide administrative assistance to the management team.
- Answer and troubleshoot technicians’ questions or contact upper management when needing additional assistance.
- Encourage and improve interoffice communications amongst all locations.
- Perform other office duties as necessary.
- Assist with patient care and pretest patients for the doctor.
- Provide stellar customer service and handle disputes professionally and friendly.
- Assist at the reception desk by answering phones, patient scheduling check-in/out, insurance verifications, and related patient care.
- Provide patient care/front desk reception coverage when needed.
- Ensure current patient demographics for accurate information in our systems.
- Ensure voice messages are reviewed and handled daily, and that phone calls (No Show, NEE, Reminders, etc.) are being completed.
- Explain the testing process to patients, administer tests on visual capabilities, and take notes during examinations.
- Assist in annual and periodic employee reviews, training, coaching, and/or disciplinary actions.
- May assist the General Manager and upper management in the recruiting/hiring processes.
- Encourage, training, and mentor employees, disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Problem-solving and crisis management, with the ability to act under pressure.
- Analyze reports and data and observe and evaluate employee performance to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Prioritize duties and organize work and work schedules for maximum technician productivity, requiring analyzing reports and data.
- Follow the direction of upper management to supervise and guide employees in abiding by the policies/rules/regulations and processes of DNA Eye Group.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality are essential for our patient care.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Evidence of successful crisis management and conflict resolution experience.
- Familiarity with optical equipment and programs.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to handle medical records discreetly.
- Knowledge of medical issues and terminology.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations.
- Communication skills and customer service orientation.
- An Optometric Technician Certification or higher, or equivalent of on-the-job work experience, or any combination that meets the duties criteria.
