What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Guard position at DR Security?
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be trained in managing individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. This position will mitigate and prevent criminal behavior and report information as needed to our other guards and management.
Responsibilities
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring access points, investigating accidents.
- Submit complete and detailed reports as required, recording observations, information and occurrences throughout shift.
- Follow procedures specific to each location, building professional relationships with facility staff and visitors.
- Monitor visitors as required by facility, such as logging visits with a signature, searching bags for dangerous items/contraband, or asking them to walk through a metal detector.
- Remain aware of shift and facility assignments, understanding possible schedule changes are sometimes necessary.
- Enforce rules, regulations, and policies to ensure safety.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
-CLEET licensed as an unarmed/armed security guard
- Strong conflict management skills
- CPR certification, First Aid, and self-defense training are advantageous
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills; familiarity with report writing
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally, making immediate decisions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
