What You Will Do
- Lead and Develop Pharmacy Staff Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of pharmacists and technicians to ensure daily operations run smoothly and meet performance standards.
- Drive Quality and Performance Excellence Support performance goals, provide feedback and reviews, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve conflicts or address performance issues, with a strong focus on minimizing dispensing and data entry errors.
- Maintain Exceptional Customer and Client Service Ensure a high standard of client relations and customer service is upheld across all pharmacy operations.
- Oversee Training and Competency Programs Identify staff training needs and implement onboarding plans and ongoing development strategies for both new hires and existing staff.
- Manage Inventory and Regulatory Compliance Oversee annual inventory processes, daily inventory replenishment, and supply ordering in compliance with regulatory and business requirements, including remote dispensing units.
- Standardize and Document Procedures Maintain up-to-date work practice documents and ensure standardized processes across clients and teams to support consistency and effective training.
- Support Operational Rollouts and On-Call Coverage Participate in implementation efforts at partner sites as needed and rotate in the Supervisor On-Call schedule for pharmacy operations.
- Licensure: Active pharmacy license required in the state of operation; PharmD preferred; willingness to obtain additional state licenses.
- Education & Experience: Minimum 3–5 years as a Clinical Pharmacist with at least 1 year in a leadership role; hospice and palliative care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Regulations: Strong understanding of federal and state pharmaceutical laws to ensure compliance and safe care delivery.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in web browsers, Google Suite (Docs, Sheets), and prescription order entry systems.
- Communication & Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, communicate effectively, and manage competing priorities.
- Professional Attributes: High level of professionalism, discretion, customer service, and the ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality.
