Position Overview:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and strong team performance. This role includes direct leadership of both rooms and food & beverage operations while maintaining brand standards, cost controls, and guest satisfaction. The Operations Manager reports directly to the General Manager and serves as second-in-command, stepping in as needed to lead the property.
What Youll Do:
Hotel Operations Oversight Ensure smooth daily operations across all departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage.
Guest Experience & Service Excellence Maintain high service standards, resolve guest issues, and implement strategies to enhance satisfaction scores.
Food & Beverage Leadership Oversee Bistro, Meeting rooms, and catering operations, ensuring quality service, efficient execution, and cost control.
Team Development Lead, train, and develop department heads and frontline staff to ensure strong performance and engagement.
Financial & Cost Control Assist in budget management, monitor expenses, control labor costs, and drive revenue in both rooms and F&B.
Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to brand standards, local health codes, liquor laws, and safety regulations.
Property & Inventory Management Work with maintenance and housekeeping teams to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and overall guest satisfaction.
Leadership & Communication Act as a key liaison between departments and the General Manager, ensuring alignment on hotel goals and priorities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
Minimum of four years of experience in hotel management or hospitality, with expertise in guest services, front desk, or housekeeping.
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and manage a service-driven team to meet quality standards and achieve guest satisfaction.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in basic computer skills, job-specific software, and essential business functions, including mathematical reasoning and written communication.
Ability to perform the physical aspects of the job including sitting, bending, climbing, standing, reaching, and walking for up to 90% of the workday and lifting and carrying up to 60lbs.
Must possess a valid drivers license, and proper car insurance coverage for business-related travel.
