Job Description:

Estimator-Cleveland/Chattanooga Area

The estimator role consists of not only selling gutter systems and various products but also being able to have the adequate knowledge to evaluate and communicate effectively with the homeowner and installation crew on what the issue is, how to fix the issue, and how to prevent future issues. Position is commission based with bonus opportunities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Excellent Communication Skills. As an estimator you will need to be able to explain to customers the best (gutter) solutions for their project and the best gutter protection based on what environment they live in. You will also be working with the installation crew in answering many questions that may arise when the project is being completed, or if things change while the job is being installed be able to communicate with the homeowner and crew. Also, be able to write down effectively the gutter system project plan and be able to describe the plan to the installer crew if questions arise.
• Critical Thinking Skills. Be able to effectively think through problems that may arise when your project is being installed or when changes are needed to be made to gutter placement. Must be a problem solver.
• Self Driven. Must be self motivated to build customer relationships, achieve monthly sales goals, and always look for ways to improve and build more customer relationships.
• Responsible. This job will require you to be responsible with various evaluation appointments and following up with customers in a timely manner. Our standard is that each request should be called on by the end of the business day.
• Organizational Skills. Must have great organizational skills to keep up with appointments, estimates/quotes, and follow up with customers in a timely manner. Must be able to set and manage own schedule.
• Competent Computer Skills. Must be able to use our system in place, Jobber, to accurately keep up with customer requests, appointments, and quotes/bids.
• Intermediate Math Skills. Must have a good understanding of math in order to give accurate measurements and prices to customers.
• Customer Service is the top priority for a DRG estimator.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Some sales experience
• Two References outside of family members.
• Validdrivers License
• Drain Right Guttering is a TN Drug Free Workplace. Pre-employment and random drug tests required.
