What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Specialist position at Drake Cement and Materials?
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Drake Cement and Materials. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on industrial electrical equipment, including installation, repair, and troubleshooting of substations, power distribution systems, switchgear motors, motor controls, systems, and components.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe operation of our cement plant's electrical systems. To achieve this, you will need to prioritize safety in your daily work activities, complete JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) and work area exams prior to work execution, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work area instructions.
You will have a strong knowledge base in the maintenance and troubleshooting of AC/DC drives, PLCs, overhead cranes, management control systems, calibration of field transmitters/transducers, pressure meters, temperature sensors, weigh scales, and low and medium voltage equipment.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, as you will be working closely with other team members and external contractors to ensure seamless operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in construction, mining, metals, heavy industrial, or similar fields
- Experience with Bruker instrument diagnostics
- 2 years of facility and/or equipment general preventative maintenance experience
- Experience with VFDs, PLC, HMI, and/or SCADA Control Systems
- Experience working with low and medium voltages
- Experience with AC and/or DC controls
- Experience with instrumentation devices
- Experience with diagnostic electrical test equipment
- Experience with HVAC equipment
