Position Overview
As an Industrial Maintenance Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of industrial machinery and equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans, schedules, and strategies to minimize downtime, reduce equipment failures, and optimize overall equipment effectiveness. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, organizational skills, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities :
Maintenance Planning :
Develop and maintain detailed preventive maintenance plans for industrial equipment and machinery.
Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, and production teams to understand equipment requirements and performance expectations.
Scheduling :
Create and manage maintenance schedules to minimize production disruptions and downtime.
Coordinate with production and operations teams to plan maintenance activities during optimal periods.
Resource Allocation :
Estimate and allocate resources, including manpower, tools, and spare parts, required for scheduled maintenance activities.
Work closely with procurement to ensure timely availability of necessary materials and spare parts.
Documentation :
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of equipment history, maintenance activities, and inventory of spare parts.
Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and downtime.
Troubleshooting :
Collaborate with maintenance teams to identify and address recurring equipment issues.
Analyze root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Continuous Improvement :
Evaluate and enhance existing maintenance strategies for increased efficiency and reliability.
Stay informed about industry best practices, new technologies, and equipment upgrades to improve maintenance processes.
Safety Compliance :
Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
Collaborate with safety officers to implement and improve safety protocols related to maintenance tasks.
Training and Development :
Provide training to maintenance personnel on new equipment, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
Identify skill gaps and work with the training department to develop relevant training programs.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in industrial maintenance planning or a related role.
Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, systems, and maintenance practices.
Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
