Our client is seeking an experienced Business Legal Assistant to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to contribute to a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of legal experience, with candidates possessing general business, contracts, real estate, finance, or banking experience encouraged to apply.
There will be an opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement once the training period is completed.
Key Responsibilities :
Monitor compliance requirements, contingency deadlines, and case statuses.
Draft, proof, and format legal documents.
Maintain and update client files, including corporate records.
Provide support during transactions, including due diligence and document preparation.
Communicate effectively with clients and attorneys.
Manage attorney schedules, deadlines, and appointments.
Record documents with county register of deeds offices.
File documents (UCCs, articles of incorporation / organization, annual reports) with the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions.
Work with title companies to obtain title work and coordinate closings.
Prepare closing transcripts.
Assist with timekeeping, billing, and processing invoices in coordination with the accounting department.
Track, prepare, and submit CLE credit reports with the applicable state courts.
Qualifications :
Post‐secondary coursework in paralegal studies or equivalent experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or in a similar role. An associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
Minimum of three years of legal experience is required .
Candidates with experience in general business, contracts, real estate, finance, or banking are encouraged to apply.
