About You: Are you looking for a dynamic and flexible work environment with opportunity for growth and advancement? Dramby Environmental has an immediate need for a Mid-Level Ecologist to join our growing team. We are seeking a Wetland Ecologist/Environmental Scientist with at least 3 years of detailed wetland delineation experience in Virginia and North Carolina. This is a composite role and will include both field and office responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience within a professional ecological career with a minimum of 3 years wetland delineation experience
- Proven project experience with complex ecological issues
- In depth knowledge of relevant state and federal legislation and policy with a special emphasis on CWA Sections 401/404 and associated permitting
- Demonstrable skills and experience of field surveys and assessments and regulatory agency meetings
- Ability to lead wetlands and waters delineations and other field work,
- Experience performing restoration planning and monitoring, and plant and/or wildlife surveys
- Ability to work independently, and collaboratively, to prepare reports, and communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to mentor junior staff in the field and conduct field work safely· Excellent organization and oral/written communications skills are required
- PWS (Professional Wetland Scientist) Certification Preferred
The ideal candidate will have at minimum, a bachelor’s degree in an environmental discipline (biology, ecology, natural resources, soil science or related natural resources field) with 3 years of demonstrated experience delineating wetlands. Additional education and certifications are desired.
This position is a hybrid role: field work (60%), work from Dramby or remote offices (40%). The salary listed is a range and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
