We have an exciting opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative in our Gym Equipment Sales Department. The job responsibilities and minimum qualifications are listed below.
Primary Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Responds to technical inquiries from variety of formats including phone, fax, e-mail, etc.
- Assists dealers, installers and customer service in resolving technical issues including direct calls, conference calls, e-mails, etc.
- Troubleshoot technical inquiries to resolution for dealers and installers.
- Assist customers with shortages and field problems - determine what parts are required to complete job and cause parts to be shipped - then determine cause for the needed parts to determine who is liable for cost and with an eye to keep issues from reoccurring.
- Compile quote information, which includes interpreting specifications, drawings and/or take-off, calculating prices, transcribing to quote and presenting to dealers/end-users.
- Process orders including taking phone/fax/e-mail orders; accurately writes up; check orders for correctness.
- Represent Draper and our products to dealers through personal visits, phone conversations, e-mail contacts and other written communications. Travels with RSMs and Product Managers or on your own as necessary.
- Keeps abreast of competitive environment as well as maintain a thorough knowledge of Draper products.
- Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
- Assist with prospecting for and signing new dealers, maintains accurate dealer account information and ensures dealers are up-to-date on literature and pricing information.
Back Up RSM
- Provide back-up support for assigned RSM or Product Manager to assist dealers in assigned territory.
- Maintain open communication with assigned RSM before, during or after road trips.
Other
- Track and follow up on jobs listed with construction lead service for assigned territory with goal to quote all available projects.
- Assist Dealer, Architects and Contractors with questions on project planning and specifications as requested.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers and deal with situations in a professional manner.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good problem solving, decision making, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
- Mechanical aptitude (being able to visualize the product).
- Proven ability to be a positive Team player.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Gym Equipment product knowledge and a college degree are a plus.
