About the role :

As Director of Procurement, North America you'll support the VP Procurement inthe implementation of the Global Procurement Strategy in the US and Canada. Keyto the success of the role will be the effective development and management of relationshipskey internal and external stakeholders to ensure support to the overallProcurement vision.

You'll develop and maintain strong working relationships with criticalstakeholders across the technical and finance community to form a clearmultiyear view of the investment pipeline.

By partnering with key functional stakeholders, you'll co-createstrategic procurement plans with clear deliverables to safeguard criticaloperational and technical supply chains.

You'll build and enable effective relationships with key suppliers to securecost and service improvements / competitive advantage. And you'll driveProcurement value contribution across a variety of areas ensuring bestpractices in procurement are harnessed to the benefit of Drax, all whilstensuring a consistency of process and approach. You'll also support theimplementation of and adherence to Group Procurement policies and processes,ensuring a clear and consistent approach to governance and compliance.

You'll act as an ambassador for change across the Drax Procurement teampromoting the Procurement strategy and vision.

About You :

A skilled procurement practitioner, who leads by example with excellentnegotiation, and communication skills. You're a seasoned leader who can drivechange and implement new ways of working that create value for Drax.

You'll have experience of operating in a complex, multisiteorganization, and you're resilient and able to navigate complex challenges& deal with ambiguity. You thrive ina challenging environment and are comfortable with a level of healthy tension.

This role can be based flexibly across the US; however, the role will involvetravel to the main Houston based Drax offices within the Group (and may requiretravel to the North American sites and offices.
