What You Can Expect
As the Director of Procurement Excellence, you will play a key leadership role within ENGIE’s North America Procurement organization, overseeing operations across the U.S. and Canada. You will be responsible for defining and implementing a pocurement management system that drives high performance and fosters sustainable growth in support of business and operational objectives. In this role, you will lead the procurement experts across key domains, including Performance & Sustainability, Process & Tools, and Compliance, while also overseeing additional resources within the Global Business Support organization in the U.S. and Mexico who handle administrative and transactional procurement activities for North America. This role is based in Houston, Texas, reporting to the Northam VP Procurement, CPO
Lead the development and implementation of Procurement Governance, Processes, and Tools
Drive Procurement Performance, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Ethics, Internal Controls, and Sustainability goals (including decarbonization and diversity)
Structure, manage, and enhance Procurement data and knowledge, ensuring accuracy and adoption
Support M&A, integration, and divestiture projects
Oversee administrative and transactional procurement activities handled by Global Business Support
Manage the Travel & Expense committee, including policy enforcement and compliance reporting
Lead the integration of North America Procurement processes into the Global Enterprise Transformation (SAP Ariba) by 2027
What You’ll Bring
Salary Range: $113,900 – $174,570 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You’ll Bring
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or Project Management or related field
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Procurement or Project Management, with expertise in process management, IT/Digital systems, internal controls, risk management, and leadership. Strong project management skills, team management experience, and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- You are experienced in procurement categories and tools such as SAP, Ariba, and/or Coupa
- You hold advanced proficiency in Excel, Power Pivot, and Microsoft Project
- You are a strategic thinker with a proven ability to innovate, lead change, and drive process improvements
- You are proficient in stakeholder management, effectively communicating and collaborating with senior leadership
- You have a deep understanding of procurement functions, management systems, and best practices
- You have the ability to assess medium- and long-term business needs, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks across business, technical, supplier, and corporate levels
- You are skilled in sourcing through category management, procurement processes, and tools, with global project accountability
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy, three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote
- Must be available to travel internationally up to 10% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
