The Senior PeopleSoft Upgrade Specialist will be responsible for upgrading the PeopleSoft (PS)
application, currently operating for Active City Employees and Retiree Health Benefits, to a newer version
of the PeopleSoft application.
Specific job duties will include :
- Execute the appropriate upgrade scripts, perform the necessary system configuration, and create / retrofit
existing code, web services, interfaces and reports to upgrade the current NYCAPS Actives and Retirees to
a newer version of the platform.
Installation, maintenance, and configuration of PeopleSoft, PeopleTools, and associated Middlewareinfrastructure. Tasks will include supporting the infrastructure of critical Citywide applications including
and related applications.
Works closely with Technical Lead and project teams to coordinate upgrade work and be responsible forcompletion of all the upgrade activities within the project timelines with competing priorities.
Required Experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Must have a minimum of Ten (10) years' experience in working with multiple versions of PeopleSoftand PeopleTools across HCM modules.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) who has performed multiple PeopleSoft and PeopleTools upgrades andpatch installations using Change Assistant and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM).
Working experience and understanding of PeopleSoft HCM applications (v 9.2 PUM 39 with fluidtechnology) and PeopleSoft Tools (v 8.59 ).
Experience in administration of associated middleware products like, Oracle WebLogic, PeopleSoftAppDesigner, Oracle SQL, etc.
Experience working with different lines of businesses to fully understand the customizations made to theenvironment, and the impact to project timeline.
Responsible for leading and overseeing the design, development, implementation, and maintenance ofOracle Peoplesoft security products.
Responsible for driving the evolution of our Peoplesoft security infrastructure, collaborating with cross[1]functional teams and stakeholders to deliver effective security, identity, and access managementsolutions.
Oversee the end-to-end design, development, testing, and implementation of the Peoplesoft securityinfrastructure, adhering to architectural and security best practices.
Has Strong knowledge of Server virtualization, PeopleSoft debugging, PeopleSoft tuning.Has Strong Knowledge of PeopleSoft with Oracle RAC Architecture integration and configuration.Has Strong Knowledge of PS and PT on UNIX, with AIX preferred.Ability to plan and prioritize work and meet project deadlines.Must be self-motivated and work well with other groups.Excellent Communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working with an enterprise wide, large scale implementations.Experience working within a matrix environment.Certified in PeopleSoft Upgrade Administration.CA Tool & PUM.Shell , SQL, scripting.Experience working with New York City Automated Personnel System (NYCAPS) is preferred.Education :
Bachelors or Master's Degree in Computer Science or in a Technical / Business Discipline is required
