Position Overview:
Dream Yoga and Wellness is seeking a dedicated and reliable General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our wellness center. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic startup where you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our community-focused wellness environment. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who excels in customer service, community outreach, and can juggle a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced setting. You will be responsible for front desk operations, sales, member engagement, scheduling, child watch, mental health coordination, and ensuring a positive member experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Front Desk Operations: Oversee day-to-day front desk duties including answering calls, greeting members, checking in clients, and handling inquiries.
- Community Outreach: Build relationships within the community to increase brand awareness and attract new members. Attend local events, collaborate with other wellness organizations, and represent Dream Yoga and Wellness.
- Sales and Member Retention: Drive membership sales through proactive outreach, promotional strategies, and personalized consultations. Ensure exceptional member retention through ongoing engagement and relationship-building.
- Front Desk Scheduling: Manage class schedules, staff schedules, and member appointments using MindBody software. Ensure smooth operations at all times.
- Child Watch: Oversee child watch services, ensuring safety, fun, and a nurturing environment for children while parents engage in classes or services.
- Mental Health Coordination: Assist in coordinating mental health and wellness programs, offering support, and ensuring that mental health initiatives are aligned with the company's goals.
- Member Engagement: Ensure all members are greeted and supported with care, helping them achieve their personal wellness goals. Handle member concerns and feedback, striving to provide solutions and elevate the overall member experience.
- Strategic Planning: Work closely with the leadership team on the development of long-term strategies to increase member growth and enhance community engagement.
- Event Planning and Execution: Organize and promote events, workshops, and special programming to increase member engagement and strengthen the community presence.
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and optimize efficiency in the use of resources, including managing the use of MindBody software.
- Evaluation and Reporting: Regularly evaluate performance based on key metrics such as member growth, community outreach efforts, event participation, and member satisfaction.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a general management or supervisory role, preferably in the wellness, fitness, or service industry.
- Strong knowledge and experience using MindBody software for scheduling and client management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Comfortable with community outreach and building relationships within the local area.
- Ability to think strategically and implement plans that contribute to company growth.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Prior experience in sales, event planning, or wellness programming is preferred.

Compensation: Base salary of $36,000 annually, with additional bonus opportunities based on membership growth and weekly sales performance.
