Originallyas Harlem RBI, DREAM has grown to annually serve more than 2,500 youth across East Harlem and the South Bronx through a network of seven PreK-12, extended-day, extended-year DREAM Charter Schools and community sports-based youth development programs. Reporting directly to the Director of Communications and Brand, the Manager of Marketing and Design will be responsible for developing high-quality marketing and advertising campaigns that increase brand awareness, support fundraising efforts, attract students and talent to DREAM, and share the unique stories of our community. Working closely with school-based staff and network teams, the Manager of Marketing and Design will support and amplify existing and new efforts to expand DREAM’s reach to external audiences. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional digital design and writing skills, strong organizational abilities, and a collaborative mindset, paired with a passion for education equity and youth development. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready to tell the beautiful stories from the DREAM community through developing and designing marketing campaigns with lots of creative freedom.
Responsibilities
- Design
- Support DREAM’s organizational branding efforts through the creation of visual assets, graphic designs, environmental graphics, swag, and branded collateral templates for staff use, and support cross-functional partners in the creation of their branded assets;
- Create external and internal event marketing materials, including event brand identities, invitations, printed collateral, and signage;
- Partner with the Senior Communications Coordinator to create and design social media graphics and templates across all of DREAM’s platforms.
- Marketing & Advertising
- Develop and execute advertising campaigns including OOH (out of home), social media, Google ads, and mailers to attract new audiences to DREAM and support organization-wide student recruitment and talent recruitment;
- Support the Advancement team with fundraising efforts through event collateral creation, appeal campaigns, funder decks, and other fundraising materials;
- Design and manage email campaigns for both external and internal audiences;
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) including enrollment interest, social media engagement, email performance, and website traffic;
- Write high quality content including digital ad copy, email newsletters, press releases, blog posts, website copy, and event collateral;
- Support on the ground efforts to capture stories through videos and photos across all campuses to generate meaningful and authentic content;
- Create and manage marketing budget with communications leadership.
- Website Management
- Directly manage DREAM’s website through timely updates by partnering across organizational departments;
- Partner with external vendors for larger-scale website changes;
- Oversee Google Ad grant and Google Analytics account and develop SEO strategy for website.
