Youth Advocate - Evening
Regular Part Time: 16 - 36 hours per week. Non Exempt. Must have weekend availibility.

All Staff Requirements:
- Provide service with integrity, respect, empathy, and confidentiality to youth and their families;
- Create a safe and structured environment to provide service that is trauma informed and is consistent with the principles of positive youth development.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma/G.E.D combined with one year education/training with the target population or one year relevant experience in a human services related field.
Primary Staff Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake and discharge interviews with residents. Pass on complex intake referrals to Shelter Case manager.
- Supervise youth in accordance with DreamTree Project policies and procedures.
- Plan / participate in daily activities, including meals, chores, and recreational activities.
- Complete all shift documentation, including but not limited to logs, notes, incident reports, and consequence contracts.
- Perform urinalysis tests as required.
- Perform room searches for prohibited items as scheduled and as needed.
- Transport youth in agency vehicles to appointments, activities, school, and other venues.
- Answer the agency phone and cell phone, including checking voicemail and returning calls promptly.
- Attend scheduled one-on-one meetings with Supervisor and weekly staff meetings.
- Communicate facility maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain facility security (e.g., lock and close all doors and windows when leaving).
- Maintain clean driving record based on DreamTree Project insurance requirements.
- Participate in the on-call phone rotation schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
Overnight Security Responsibilities:
- Maintain security for Casitas, including a nightly walk of the property, responding to calls from youth, and checking youth in rooms at least once a night.
- Follow-up on any Casitas youth absences, including re-checking rooms and communicating with Program Director, law enforcement, and parent/guardian.
- Enter data into tracking systems, and prepare and maintain files and blank forms.
- Prepare daily schedule, including activities, menu, and appointments.
- Check youth in Shelter rooms every 10 to 20 minutes throughout the shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Compensation:
- $100 = 30 Days after start date
- $100 = 60 Days after start date
