Responsibilities
Program Oversight and Implementation:
- Plan and oversee the following core programs:
- New Member Orientation: 4 meetings per month welcoming newly employed women to the program.
- Computer Skills Training: Partnering with industry experts to deliver 2 workshops per month.
- Entrepreneur Program: 6-week cohort offered every other year with bootcamps offered annually.
- Creative Works: Partnerships with the arts community to deliver creative and engaging programming.
- Success Pages: 3 books per year, with 4 regular meetings per book.
- Fit4Success: Partnerships with local fitness instructors/educators to lead 1 class/workshop per month.
- Child Watch: Provide curriculum for children while their guardians attend programming.
- Coordinate event logistics, including planning, staffing, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct regular program audits to ensure consistency and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage the curriculum offerings to ensure they are relevant and relatable.
- Track and report program metrics and trends quarterly.
Program Coordination and Team Collaboration:
- Foster collaboration across departments to ensure seamless program delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, volunteers, and external partners related to program execution.
- Ensure timely communication and coordination with presenters, volunteers, and staff to support successful programming.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain volunteer speakers to enhance program offerings.
- Provide general administrative and organizational support.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with program presenters, volunteers, and clients.
- Represent DFS Houston in a professional and polished manner at meetings, events, and community functions.
General Administration and Organization Support:
· Fill in as Program Logistics and Front Desk on as needed basis.
· Give tours of Dress for Success Houston on as needed basis.
· Assist with special events on as needed basis.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, adult learning, or career training.
o Proven ability to coordinate and execute career training and professional development programs.
o Experience in organizing workshops and collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (including Excel), Salesforce (or similar platform), and virtual video platforms like Zoom.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail while aligning with broader organizational goals.
- Capacity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds with a calm, professional demeanor.
- Other:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
This is a Temporary role expected to last 6 months
