Production Manager

Job Description

Drexel Chemical Company is a leading manufacturer of quality agricultural products. We currently operate facilities in the Memphis, TN area, and are looking to immediately hire a qualified Production Manager.

The Production Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable, and cost effective production of a variety of crop protection chemicals. The position oversees all aspects of the production process, including formulation, packaging, maintenance, quality control, and logistics. The position is responsible for optimizing efficiency and ensuring annual productivity goals are achieved.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Administer EH&S standards to ensure the protection of personnel, the community, and the environment.
• Direct and monitor plant production to effectively meet required production goals.
• Organize and control maintenance functions to reduce cost and optimize reliability.
• Coordinate with the corporate human resources staff to identify, analyze, and resolve personnel issues, in order to ensure an effective, and motivated work force.
• Provide corporate production management with accurate and timely information, in order to facilitate effective decisions and actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws regulating plant operation, distribution of product, and management of employees.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 5 years verifiable experience in Operations, Maintenance, or Technical leadership position.
• Proven leadership, communication and management skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to EH&S excellence.
• Sound working knowledge of basic chemical unit operations, including manufacturing and packaging.
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the daily activities of the production and operation teams
• Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel
• Place production orders from customers
• Inspect all materials and equipment to detect malfunctions
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Other duties assigned.
  
  

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
