Main Purpose Of Job
We are seeking a self-motivated individual to join our tax group as an experience Senior Tax Analyst who has experience in federal and state compliance, income tax provision, tax notices and audits. Ideal candidates will leverage previous experience to bring fresh insights and process improvements to the group and be willing to take on new challenges in a fast-pace environment. This role will work closely with the broader Finance Team and outside tax partners to build a strong foundation ensuring compliance and sustainability of tax practices. Hybrid position with 3 days in office, 2 days remote. This position can be permanent or temporary to permanent position.

Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the federal and state compliance process: provide data, workpapers and reports to outside tax preparer, review federal and state returns and workpapers.
- Review extension and quarterly payments done by outside tax preparer, process and make online payments, track payments as part of monthly tax account rollforward and reconciliations.
- Prepare and file informational returns such as 1042s and 1042-S, W-8BEN, FinCen 114, etc.
- Prepare and review US federal and state tax provisions and related return to provision analysis.
- Prepare the monthly provision journal entries and management reporting of monthly provision.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and tax expense account reconciliations for direct tax General Ledger accounts.
- Prepare budget and forecasts of income tax expense and cash flow projections of tax payments.
- Manage and review tax fixed asset registers to ensure the accuracy of cost and depreciation on monthly basis, including preparing tax fixed asset rollforward schedules.
- Support internal and external income tax audits, including preparing workpapers and information document request from federal and state jurisdictions.
- Research and prepare responses to tax notices from various tax jurisdictions, including managing notices and due dates.
- Perform research and analysis of tax issues impacting the business.
- Other tax related special projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting with 7-12 plus years of tax experience.
- CPA or advanced degree with emphasis in taxation preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel; JDE accounting software, a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and excellent record keeping skills.
- Great written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to balance multiple time-sensitive deliverables at once, and work independently to complete tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Energetic and highly motivated to learn new areas of tax and business in a fast-paced environment.
