Duties

- Perform diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide counseling utilizing evidence based interventions.
- Utilize medical terminology and ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation and reporting.
- Implement applied behavior analysis techniques as part of treatment strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients, including those with developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with confidentiality regulations.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in mental health therapy.
Experience
- A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
- Previous experience in outpatient settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with gender issues counseling, chronic pain counseling, child family counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in individual and group counseling techniques is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation processes is necessary for effective practice.
- Certification or licensure as a mental health professional is preferred.
