Driftway Animal Hospital is a full service, privately owed, small animal hospital that provides quality care to the pets of Scituate and surrounding towns. We offer traditional medicine, vaccines and preventatives as well as holistic options. We have digital radiology, perform soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures. We are looking for a friendly and organized veterinary receptionist to join our animal care team. Candidates must have a positive attitude but more importantly, be able to express compassion and empathy, especially in cases of euthanasia. In this administrative role, you check-in our animal patients, update their records and owner information, schedule appointments, process payments, and communicate with clients via phone, email, and text. You may also be asked to prepare prescriptions, relay after-care instructions to owners, and educate owners about nutrition, pet insurance and financial payment options. Candidates pursuing a career in veterinary medicine or have prior experience are preferred but we will train the right candidate. Excellent customer service and computer skills are required.
