We are seeking a friendly, confident and welcoming individual to attend to the indoor or outdoor pools and/or the indoor waterpark at Margaritaville Lake Resort. The ideal candidate will enjoy talking to people of all ages and be able to create a hospitable atmosphere.
Job Description
The Pool Attendant is a vital part of creating an environment of fun and participation while ensuring that the guests are enjoying the area safely. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain pool chemical and cleaning logs.
- Greet all guests and create a hospitable atmosphere.
- Maintain a safe and clean facility and enforce all appropriate safety rules.
- Ensure guests are using the slides and water areas safely and following safety instructions and guidelines.
Personal Skills
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
- Possess strong hospitality skills while in direct contact with the guests, other staff members and on the phone.
- Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures.
Key Qualities
- Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.
- Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change.
- Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.
Physical Requirements
- Must be a strong swimmer.
- Minimum pulling and lifting of 20 pounds.
- Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
- Hearing, writing, speaking.
- Standing for long periods of time.
