As the Marina Manager, you will oversee and constantly seek to improve the running of the marina, including rentals, purchase of merchandise, and the accurate handling of payments.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Marina
Interview, hire, train, discipline, schedule/approve time punches for staff, and review job performances of all Marina staff
Assist staff and guests when problems arise
Will be required to work Spring Break and all busy holidays, including Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day.
Maintain the Rental Fleet, keeping it clean and in good repair, keeping in good communication with the resort Mechanic
Ensure that the docks are safe, clean, and in good repair
Ensure the staff has all the tools and supplies to complete their job successfully
Possess strong hospitality skills while in direct contact with the guests and staff, while maintaining a safe and professional environment
Responsible for all inventories and purchase orders within the department
Maintain a safe work environment by promoting safe work practices and documenting any unsafe areas or practices with written documentation and work orders when needed
Process all invoices
Responsible for operating facilities within the parameters and guidelines set in the budget
Will be trained in other Recreation Departments including Waterpark, Pools, Bowling, Arcade, Mini Golf, Fitness Center, and group activities
Will be required to work in all Recreation areas during the off-season when the Marina is closed.
Attend required meetings

Personal Skills
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
Management experience and an understanding of marina activities is required
Possess strong hospitality skills while in direct contact with the guests, other staff members and on the phone.
Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures.
Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.
Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change.
Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.

Some knowledge of the lake area and/ or operating watercraft is required.
Physical Requirements
Must be a strong swimmer
Minimum pulling and lifting of 20 pounds.
Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.

Standing for long periods of time.
