Job Description
Responsible for providing education and administrative support for interprofessional education activities in conjunction with the Professional Development Specialist/Coordinator. Assists with designing, implementing, and evaluating professional development activities at the unit and centralized level. Participates in the effective and efficient implementation of the key education processes, annual competence assessment, preceptor development, required ongoing training and assigned programs. Serves as a resource and role model for clinical staff. Assist in identifying learning needs and effective activities to meet the needs of clinical staff related to assigned educational programs. Participates in organizational change.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:
- A minimum Associate's Degree (AS) in nursing, BSN preferred.
- Five (5) years clinical experience in pediatrics, with two (2) years experience as a preceptor preferred.
- A minimum three (3) years of education and/or presentation skills preferred.
Certificates, License, Registrations:
- Current Texas Licensure; Registered Nurse
- BLS and PALS required
- Specialty certification in clinical area and/or professional development preferred. Certification required upon reaching eligibility.
