PURPOSE:
To provide assistance to the Assistant Controller and CFO and uphold all general accounting practices
POSITION EXPECTATIONS AND JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Enter payable invoices into the Global Shop for both PO and non-PO invoices.
- Maintain the vendor’s payable files including payment and contact information.
- Responsible for daily bank reconciliations.
- Create AP batches from receipts.
- Accounts Payable liaison, including reconciling vendor statements, answering vendor inquiries, etc.
- Review and maintain AP Aging and AP Received Goods aging.
- Assist with the monthly financial closing process, including posting journal entries, GL account reconciliations, processing recurring monthly invoices, etc.
- Download and prepare monthly AMEX statements making sure they are turned in timely.
- Prepare monthly insurance allocation spreadsheets from insurance invoices.
- Governmental reporting including preparing annual 1099 filings, IL sales tax filings, etc.
- Back-up for customer billing and payment application.
- Issues additional invoices to customers for misc. charges not on original order.
- Maintain good housekeeping in assigned area.
- Other miscellaneous clerical duties or assignments as specified by the Assistant Controller and/or CFO.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; bachelor’s in accounting/finance or greater preferred.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be detail oriented, accurate, and dependable. Have good communication skills and a pleasant personality are essential.
MATH ABILITY:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Must have a general knowledge of computers, including networks, word processing, and spreadsheets. Must be a quick and accurate typist.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee will be working in an office environment.
The employee will be working with computers, network terminal, calculator, facsimile, copy machine and telephone.
