What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at Driven Talent?
We are looking for a responsible Receiving Driver 1 shift to receive, inspect and record shipments with raw material or products. You will be responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the orders.
A receiving clerk must have a great eye for detail and basic math skills. They must also have adequate physical strength to unload shippings as well as the clerical skills to update records and follow up with suppliers.
The goal is to ensure we receive the correct packages and stock them appropriatelyUnload packages/pallets from incoming trucks
- Receive and Inspect Deliveries: Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips or invoices, and inspect for damages or discrepancies.
- Maintain organized inventory storage areas, conduct regular stock checks.
- Collaborate with office staff, drivers, and other warehouse personnel to coordinate delivery schedules, resolve any issues, and ensure smooth operations.
- Organize and stock received items efficiently, maintaining a clean and well-organized warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as receiving associate or similar position ( 3 years )
- Experience in operating forklifts ( 3 years ) ( or willing to learn)
- Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
- Basic math and recording abilities (Math test required)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Great communication and interpersonal abilities
- Keen eye for detail
- High school diploma
- Ability to lift and move moderately heavy objects (up to 30 lbs)
1st Shift: 6am-2:30PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
