Driver’s Village is looking for an HR Assistant to join our Human Resources Team. This important position will serve several key functions, including Receptionist/Greeter in our HR Office, and assisting with several duties where candidates and employee engagement are critical.

The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and will work closely with the Human Resources staff. Their role will include serving as a contact between the HR Department and the rest of the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greeting Candidates, Staff, and Callers in our Human Resources Office.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- Schedules, conducts and/or assists with new hire onboarding tasks
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, etc.
- Assist with the HR ATS system, online posting
- Coordinate communication with candidates, schedule screening interviews with HR staff and interviews with hiring managers
- Assist our recruiters to source candidates and update our database
- Monitor the HR email
- Assist with the Director of HR’s calendar i.e. set up appointments/meeting
- Assist with on-and-off site career events such as set up of forms needed, call candidates, make appointments, and assist at event if needed
- Other clerical duties such as filing, copying, scanning as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in excel and google docs
- Experience with ADP preferred
Experience in Human Resources would be a plus. This role has the opportunity to grow with our company.
This full-time position will typically work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, however some flexibility is desired for occasional special events.
