DEPARTMENT: Jaguar Land Rover FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Location Manager PREPARED DATE: June 2022
SUMMARY:
The Instructor is responsible for teaching off-road driving skills and ensuring the safety of all guests at the designated Experience Land Rover location. The Instructor is responsible for duties associated with individual, group and team building instruction and hosting, and ensuring the vehicles, equipment and trails are maintained per client standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaching, instructing and handling all details associated with the booking process
- Maintaining a safe environment for guests and abiding by safety procedures and protocols identified and unidentified
- Demonstrating authoritative knowledge of all Land Rover products
- Caring for vehicles, equipment and trails
- Ensuring guest enjoyment of the learning and driving experience per client standards
- Demonstrating vehicle features and benefits relevant to the guest’s needs and interests
- Tailoring demonstrations and driving activities to guest’s needs and interests
- Understanding the venue operations and Center procedures and operating standards
- Providing feedback and suggestions for improvement to the Location Manager
- Actively seek and pursue further training and development (e.g. specialist training to progress further to Senior Instructor level)
- Assisting with additional tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Respond to direction and critiques from supervisors
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Be detail-oriented and committed to accuracy and timeliness
- Work independently and with others including groups, and exercise good judgment, and effective problem solving
- Be attuned to guest experience needs and proactively strive to exceed client expectation
- Present a professional image in both appearance and demeanor
- Successfully pass a background and MVR check
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED). Previous off-road driving experience and/or Land Rover background preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Driver’s License. CPR and First Aid Certificate by American Red Cross or American Heart
Association. (DriveShop will provide CPR and First Aid training as needed).

Driving qualifications:
Clean driving record. Previous off-road driving experience preferred.
Completion of off-road certification required in the first 6 months (on-the-job training).
Language Skills:
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. Read/write instructions.

- The Instructor will work mostly in an outdoor environment in a primarily active position
- involving a variety of physical acuity demands including the ability to hike up and-downhill and navigate with stability in uneven terrain

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus to
- produce or review reports
- Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.75 - $17.25 per hour
