PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Performs basic maintenance tasks such as changing oil, checking batteries, replacing filters, and lubricating equipment, and machinery.
- Assists in troubleshooting minor mechanical issues and performs simple repairs under supervision.
- Sources, purchases, and retrieves necessary parts and supplies for repairs and maintenance.
- Uses hand tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, and wrenches, as well as power tools like pneumatic wrenches and jacks, to assist in repairs and replacements.
- Supports mechanic(s) with complex repairs by preparing tools, organizing parts, and assisting in tasks as directed.
- Assists with tire maintenance, including mounting, dismounting, and repairs.
- Moves CDL vehicles between operational areas and the mechanic shop as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the mechanic shop, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Keeps records of all service and parts acquired for company vehicles.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Possesses detailed knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
- Demonstrates familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Shows strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Displays willingness to learn and develop mechanical skills.
- Understands how to source and purchase mechanical parts efficiently.
- Maintains good organizational skills and ability to keep a clean workspace.
- Works collaboratively with mechanics and other team members.
- Reads service manuals and work orders with proficiency.
- Exhibits a strong work ethic and reliability.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One year of apprenticeship, vocational training, or related experience
- A valid commercial driver license class A or B preferred
- Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, speaking, walking, driving, writing, and/or sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to see details at close and far range
- The ability to quickly move your hands, your hands together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
- The ability to detect or tell the difference between sounds that vary in pitch and loudness
- Perform work with OSHA required PPE; Including COVID19 PPE
