Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent specialty chemical manufacturing company in the Carteret, NJ area, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform corrective and preventive maintenance in an industrial setting. The role involves maintaining production and facility equipment, managing fire and burglar systems, and supporting facility upkeep. Membership in the emergency response team is required, with periodic overtime expected.
Maintenance Mechanic Job Summary:
Pay rate: $35.00-$42.00 per hourAvailable Hours: 7:00 am to 3:45 pm
- Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on machines, pumps, motors, and HVAC systems.
- Rebuild equipment, perform minor electrical work, and handle plumbing tasks.
- Use CMMS for work order management and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean work area and complete necessary documentation.
Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications:
- Vocational/Technical training in maintenance crafts.
- 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Skills in troubleshooting, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with preventive maintenance programs.
- Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Proficient with hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.
