Job Summary:
The Car Rental Revenue Manager is responsible for maximizing revenue and profit through the effective management of pricing, fleet allocation, and inventory control. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, demand forecasting, and competitive analysis to optimize pricing strategies and ensure that the car rental business remains competitive and profitable. The Revenue Manager will work closely with the sales, operations, and finance teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Optimisation:
➢ Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
➢ Monitor market conditions, demand, and competition to adjust pricing dynamically.
➢ Analyse historical data and market trends to forecast future demand and optimize fleet utilisation.
Fleet Management:
➢ Work with the operations team to ensure the optimal allocation of the fleet based on demand forecasts.
➢ Monitor vehicle availability and adjust pricing strategies to match supply and demand.
➢ Coordinate with the fleet acquisition team to manage the introduction of new vehicles and the retirement of older ones.
➢ Inventory Control:
➢ Manage inventory levels across multiple locations to ensure availability and minimize idle vehicles.
➢ Implement strategies to optimize vehicle rotation and minimize depreciation costs.
➢ Collaborate with operations to ensure efficient fleet distribution across locations.
Market Analysis:
➢ Conduct competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and threats.
➢ Monitor competitor pricing strategies and adjust rates accordingly.
➢ Analyse customer behavior and preferences to identify trends and develop targeted pricing strategies.
➢ Reporting and Analytics:
➢ Prepare and present regular reports on revenue performance, market trends, and pricing effectiveness.
➢ Utilize revenue management software and tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
➢ Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.
Collaboration:
➢ Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop promotions and discount strategies.
➢ Coordinate with the finance team to ensure alignment of pricing strategies with financial goals.
➢ Collaborate with the IT team to enhance revenue management systems and tools.
Customer Focus:
➢ Ensure that pricing strategies are aligned with customer expectations and market demand.
➢ Monitor customer feedback and adjust pricing and inventory strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
3 years of experience in revenue management, pricing strategy, or a related field, preferably in the car rental or travel industry.
Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools.
Proficiency in revenue management software and systems.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Compensation:
Salary of $65000 plus quarterly performance based bonus
