Drost Landscape is in search of multiple interns across all departments. Spend the summer in beautiful Northern Michigan! We can offer housing, great hours, and an opportunity for hands-on experience with a leader in the industry.
Areas of Exposure:
- Project management and coordination of designs with Construction team
- Conceptual designs & sketch ideas based on knowledge of design principles
- Research and determine type and size of hardscape/landscape materials
- Prepare plans, sections, construction details to develop preferred site package
- Confer with clients to discuss and determine layout design and material recommendation
- Coordination with architects, builders, and other sub consultants on design team
- Gather site inventory and confirm existing conditions
Ideal Skillset:
- Knowledge in AutoCAD, Adobe Software, SketchUp, and 3D modeling
- Digital and hand graphic ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in fast paced environment
