We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Poultry Processing Facility Staff Member to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the poultry processing process, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. No previous experience is required as we provide on-the-job training to help you succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Poultry Processing:
- Assist in the processing of poultry products, to include but not limited to slaughter, evisceration, chilling, parting, and packaging.
- Help facilitate compliance with all local and federal poultry processing guidelines.
- Work with other team members in all pre and post -operation cleaning and sanitizing.
Quality Assurance:
- Perform visual inspections to identify defects or abnormalities in poultry products.
- Report any quality issues or concerns to the supervisor or quality control team.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and procedures.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
Equipment Operation:
- Operate and maintain processing equipment under the guidance of experienced team members.
Qualifications
- No prior experience required
- Basic understanding of food processing and manufacturing
- Familiarity with sanitation and food safety practices
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to work with food processing equipment
- Knife skills and experience in meat cutting preferred
- Awareness of OSHA and HACCP standards is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food production environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
