Vice President of Sales (Remote or On-Site)

General Summary:

This role will shape and drive our sales and business development strategy, including sales forecasts, distributor relationships, and direct customer engagement. This is a high-impact, high-energy position for a strategic leader who is passionate about leading our mission to convert market demand into accelerated growth and strategically positioning our products as the top choice for US clinical benchtop centrifuge applications nationwide. This role offers the opportunity to broaden our influence, forge strong partnerships with key healthcare institutions, and place our products at the forefront of US clinical benchtop centrifuge providers, elevating our brand to new heights within our core markets.

As Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, aligning KPIs with company goals, and maintaining a fanatical focus on customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will drive the company culture and mission by attracting and retaining the best people and talent available and serve as an innovative agent of change for continuously improving sales, account management, and commercial processes and procedures, while supporting the leadership team for all major initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings expertise and a deep understanding of the US clinical equipment market and a strong history of exceeding ambitious goals. Success in this role requires experience leading a dynamic sales team, cross-functional leadership, and close collaboration with product development, marketing, US Hospital Distribution and Reference Lab partners, with the ability to translate customer insights into impactful strategies. We are looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader with a passion for building high-performing teams and delivering results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development & Execution
  • Drive growth in sales, market share, and gross margin dollars in all markets and segments
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company goals and to increase brand visibility and market share in core markets.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through accurate forecasting and effective execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, decision-makers, and influencers to drive results.
  • Negotiate formal supplier and service agreements, including pricing and volume discounts, with business partners and customers.
  • Develop and manage the sales funnel for core markets to support performance goals.
Team Leadership
  • Build, coach, and mentor a high-performing sales team to drive engagement, capture market share, and increase brand presence across core markets.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Use sales funnel and dashboards to lead, coach, and develop the sales team.
  • Develop and manage the sales budget and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to equip the team with the latest tools and knowledge.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Identify, qualify, and manage relationships with distributors, healthcare organizations, partners, and other stakeholders in core markets to enhance market reach.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with key opinion (KOLs) leaders to enhance product credibility and visibility in the market.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to monitor competitive activity, offering insights and recommendations to develop, refine, and position our products through enhancement of branding strategies brand perception, and effective messaging within core markets to drive growth.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for product development and business growth.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position includes full supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Duties include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, assigning and directing work, and addressing performance issues and concerns

Preferred Experience:
  • Clinical Equipment Sales Leadership: Proven experience in building and leading successful commercial teams in hospitals, healthcare providers, or medical device industries, preferably with a focus on US Healthcare.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience working across all customer touchpoints including Sales, Customer Service, and Technical Support teams to drive customer engagement and satisfaction in core markets.
  • Strategic Account Management: Strong background working with healthcare organizations, developing collaborative strategies, and building strong working relationships.

Qualifications:

To perform the job successfully, the individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry, ideally in U.S. healthcare or life sciences labs selling laboratory and medical equipment, with at least 5 years in a sales leadership role (alternate education and experience considered based on individual candidate).
  • Solid understanding of laboratory workflows, equipment, and key purchasing decision-makers in the U.S. healthcare markets.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and reports within a commercial CRM, preferably Salesforce, to track regional distribution sales rep performance, identify trends and patterns, and develop action plans for improvement
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building lasting relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • A hands-on leader, who actively engages with major accounts, conducts Voice of Customer (VoC) visits, and models effective problem-solving to the team.
  • Self-driven, consistently assessing the hospital lab environment and business opportunities, gathering VoC insights, and providing feedback to the leadership team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement and respond to challenges and customer inquiries effectively.
  • Willingness to travel more than 50% to support customer engagements and sales activities.
