- Monitor the condition of roads and report necessary repairs or improvements to township officials.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to road maintenance.
- Respond to public inquiries regarding road conditions and maintenance issues.
- Train and supervise staff in safe work practices and proper use of equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in civil engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in road maintenance or construction management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with the public and township officials.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license; commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus.
