JOB DUTIES
As a full-time tenure track faculty member perform the duties outlined in the faculty handbook. These duties include: (1) Teaching (65%). Usually, a teaching load of twenty-one (21) credit hours per academic year. Examples of courses include but are not limited to: Introduction to Computer Science, Algorithms, Programming Languages, and Data Structures; (2) Research (20%). Sustain currency and relevancy through scholarship and related activities; develop an ongoing research agenda that results in public dissemination of work through conferences, seminars, workshops, academic journals and/or other appropriate outlets; (3) Service (15%). Participate in faculty governance by serving on university faculty committees when appointed and attending regularly scheduled and specially called university and department meetings, provide student advising, and participate in curriculum development and course scheduling; and (4) Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field (can be foreign equivalent; ABD candidates will be considered) and passionate about teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.
