What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler position at DS Smith?
The purpose of the Planner/Scheduler is to work with all levels of the organization to plant and schedule machines to run corrugated boxes.
- Develop and distribute corrugator schedule (2 times per day).
- Develop and distribute converting schedule (2 times per day).
- Print and review sales backlog for scheduling meetings.
- Establish booking dates.
- Conduct roll stock and finished goods cycle counts.
- Update corrugator history manager.
- Setup daily transfers from outside warehouses.
- Schedule roll stock deliveries, track roll usage and order roll stock.
- Prepare and issue weekly inventory reports.
- Facilitate daily meetings.
- Meet with Supervisors on the floor to discuss Daily run schedules and priority lists.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly kiwi tasks and remove suspect data from kiwi system.
- Develop and distribute plant production schedules in a timely manner to ensure customer needs are met.
- Must comply and support all applicable GMPs, Site Security, and Food Packaging Defense requirements that are referenced in the facilities GFSI food packaging safety program.
