Overview: A full-time Physiatrist position in Springfield, MA, offering a competitive salary. The role focuses on providing medical care in geriatric and post-acute care settings, including Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospitals, Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), and Inpatient Rehabilitation (IPR). The position requires expertise in managing complex medical cases and a strong understanding of regulatory standards.

Position: Full-time (40 hrs/week)

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care in geriatric and post-acute care settings.
• Develop and maintain medical quality assurance and quality control standards.
• Document and bill medical services accurately in EHR systems.
• Manage patient care in Long-Term Acute Care hospitals and related facilities.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations.
  
  

Requirement Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in LTAC, Geriatric/LTC, or LTACH settings.
• Preferred Experience: Experience in geriatric/post-acute care, EHR documentation, and billing in hospitalist or similar settings.
• Licenses/Certifications:
• Current unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of employment.
• Board Certification by The American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR).
• Current DEA certificate (or in progress).
  

Additional Information: Full-time position with a focus on geriatric and post-acute care settings.
