Responsibilities
- Provide medical care in geriatric and post-acute care settings.
- Develop and maintain medical quality assurance and quality control standards.
- Document and bill medical services accurately in EHR systems.
- Manage patient care in Long-Term Acute Care hospitals and related facilities.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations.
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in LTAC, Geriatric/LTC, or LTACH settings.
- Preferred Experience: Experience in geriatric/post-acute care, EHR documentation, and billing in hospitalist or similar settings.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Current unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of employment.
- Board Certification by The American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR).
- Current DEA certificate (or in progress).
